You need a cloth, a sponge and applicable detergents.

• Start by packing all your belongings (in boxes, bags etc.). A tidy room is easier to clean.
• Vacuum cleaning all floors and furniture before wet cleaning with cloth or mop.
• Clean all surfaces, inside and on top of wardrobes, desk, window frames, table and armchair. (At Mørkvedlia studentpark you can borrow a stepladder from the common cleaning cupboard.
• Clean the door and door frame. Look for fingerprints around the handle.
• Electric heaters can be lifted up and removed from the wall (Please note: the heaters at Mørkvedlia studentpark cannot be removed. Shut off the heater before moving it. Wipe off the dust on the backside of the heater.
• Move furniture towards the center of the room and remove dust from the skirtings and stains from the walls.
• Clean the floor. Make sure to clean under and behind the furniture - move them around and put them back into place when you are done.
• Clean the bathroom: Use the shower hose to rinse the walls and sink with hot water. Use a sponge and detergent to rub the tiles. The walls are usually most greasy and dirty on the lower part. There may also be chalk. You may have to rub twice. Rinse off and check the result. Use the sponge and detergent to rub the sink and the wall behind the sink clean. Use the shower hose to rinse off. Use a clean cloth to wipe the mirror, shelves and fluorescent tube. Wipe the sind and walls insode the shower dry. Finish by cleaning the toilet. If there is a heater mounted on the wall release it from the wall (if possible) and wipe off the dust behind it.
• Clean the bathroom floor.
• Clean the kitchen. Remember to clean your designated kitchen cupboard, refridgerator shelves and freezer. If you rent a bedsit with own bathroom and kitchen, or a dublette (shared with one other tenant), you must also clean the stove, ventilator and the kitchen cupboard that is at your disposal.
