Do the housing units have Internet access?

  • In Bodø* and Mo i Rana, all student homes have Wifi with gigabit line 1000/1000. After you have moved in you need to register at this page to get a password for your Wifi network, and to order TV subscription if you like. You will be asked to provide a MAC address, which can be found at the internet central (home gateway) inside your home.
    After your registration, you will receive an SMS from our internet provider Signal with username and password - within one working day. NB! The text message is written in Norwegian, but look for: "Altibox####" - which is the name of your Wifi, and "passord: ****" - which is your password. During the waiting period, you can access the network with a network cable. Please call Signal customer service on +47 7543 05 00 if you experience any problems.
  • *For tenants at Nordavind student home in Bodø, you get wifi without registration. Name of the network is Nordavind_Gjest
  • At Nesna, all student homes have wireless internet with gigabit line 1000/1000. If you live in a housing collective, you will find a note with network name and password in the common areas. If you live in an apartment, you can get a password for your Wifi network by registering on this page after you have moved in. You may also order TV subscription if you like.

  • In Trøndelag (Namsos, Steinkjer, Levanger and Stjørdal), all homes have wireless internet with a gigabit line 1000/1000. You get a password for your Wifi network, and TV subscription if you like, by registering on this page, after you have moved in. You will be asked to provide a MAC address, which can be found at the internet central (home gateway) inside your home. After your registration, you will receive an SMS from Altibox with your username and password - no later than two working days. This text message is only sent out in Norwegian, but look for "Altibox####" - which is the name of your Wifi, and "passord: ****" - which is your password. Contact NTE's customer center on tel. +47 74 15 02 00 if you experience problems.

In our housing units access to wireless internet is a service we offer at no extra cost, and therefore no refunds are paid in case the Internet access is temporarily lost due to e.g. maintenance.
